Our Pinup of the Month for October is Miss Ella Mint from Evansvile USA. She has a PhD in Chemistry, loves dogs, gardening, mid century furniture and Pinup competitions!
How did you choose your Pinup name?
I asked the Mid Century Modern Kitsch community to help me decide my name by telling me a few details about my self and I thought this name fit me the best.
Why do you love pinup?
I love Pinup because it is a very inclusive community and it is fun to dress up pretty and express yourself.
Would you like to share your favourite beauty tip?
Work with your natural features and emphasize them.
What’s your favourite aspect of the Pinup and Rockabilly subculture?
It embraces people of different sizes and you can also make it your own by putting your spin on it.
When did you know that pinup was the right thing for you?
When I won 3rd place at Miss Asbury Park Pinup competition in 2016. I was then hooked. I would like to start a Luscious Ladies Pinup community in Indianapolis, Indiana.
What advice would you like to give to new pinups?
Have fun and do not be scared to try new things. Start working on your wardrobe right a way.

If you could be a Disney villain or princess, who would you be?
I would be Belle. I’m a bit of a nerd and love science and books. I wouldn’t mind meeting my beast.
What living person, other than family members, do you most admire?
Alexandria Ocasio-cCrtez because she was a waitress in Queens who grew up with hardship and grew to be a congresswoman and is a woman of color. I like that she stands up for people. All people.
